The hygienic valve standard for high-purity processes.
Aquasyn engineers hygienic diaphragm valves, ARTēVA® pinch valves, sampling systems, and custom stainless-steel fabrication. Purpose-built for high-purity processes · American made in Carson City, Nevada.
It started with a valve that didn't exist.
Aquasyn began in 1996 with a part that kept failing and a supplier base that shrugged.
A biopharma manufacturer was losing QC lots to a small stainless sample assembly whose shape trapped product and could not be cleaned, inspected, or refinished. Every vendor said the same thing: that is just how the part is. Founder Michael C. Gagne disagreed. He designed a right-angle valve that opened the flow path so it could be seen into and serviced · the Valbow®.
The first customer capped four prototypes at $2,000. Four custom valves could not be built for that. Aquasyn built them anyway. A handful of parts became an order for thousands, and when the components could no longer be sourced any other way, the company made the entire valve itself · body, diaphragm, and bonnet · one size at a time, from a phone, a fax, and a futon. That constraint became the founding rule the company still runs on: start from a hygienic blank sheet, never an industrial part with a polish.
The Valbow®.
A hygienic valve no one else would build, made one size at a time. Purpose-built, not adapted · the rule ever since.
A valve becomes a range.
Engineer Dean Richards and a team of machinists, welders, and polishers turn one valve into a full hygienic line, documented, never assumed.
Precision, past stainless.
An encapsulated stainless pinch head for single-use tubing, built for automation. Stainless-grade precision, in the single-use world.
The Alphinity family.
Thirty years of stainless heritage joined to single-use innovation · one relationship across the whole flow path.
Better by design.
Aquasyn exists to eliminate compromise in hygienic-process components. Two kinds of compromise. We refuse both.
The design compromise
Industrial valves adapted for hygienic use.
Most hygienic valves on the market were originally industrial designs, retrofitted with a hygienic surface finish. The dead legs, thread pockets, and drain-unfriendly geometry are still there. Aquasyn starts every design from a hygienic blank sheet. Geometry-optimized for drainage, cleanability, and audit traceability.
The build compromise
Broad-line manufacturing, variable execution.
Broad-line vendors run everything from stamped fittings to precision assemblies through the same shop. Execution varies. Aquasyn machines every component from 316L bar stock in one facility in Carson City. Every heat traceable. Every MTR shipped. No casting porosity. No batch variability.
Four product lines · one engineering standard.
Aquasyn engineers and manufactures four product families in-house. Every line follows the same hygienic-first design philosophy and the same bar-stock build.
Diaphragm valves.
Two-way, multi-port, block-body, and hybrid assemblies. Tork-Tite® mechanism. Integral Sealing Ridge. Machined from 316L bar stock.

Encapsulated stainless pinch head for single-use tubing. Manual, pneumatic, and electric actuation. 10,000+ cycle life.
Explore → 03 · SamplingSample & process access.
Sample and bleed valves, Valbow® 90° valves, and re-usable sample bottle assemblies. USP Class VI seals.
Explore → 04 · FabricationStainless fabrication.
Custom manifolds, dip tubes, hose racks, filter housings, CPM assemblies. Sole-source from sketch to finished part.
Explore →Machined in Carson City. Never offshored.
Every Aquasyn valve, fitting, and assembly is machined, welded, polished, and inspected in one facility in Carson City, Nevada. Sole-source, in-house, from 316L bar stock. No outsourced steps, no offshored parts, no batch variability.

Nevada operations opened
US-made, every component
Full heat traceability
Five things you won't find anywhere else.
Not brand claims · structural facts about how Aquasyn is built and how it operates.
Purpose-built, not adapted.
Every Aquasyn valve is engineered from a hygienic blank sheet · not an industrial part modified for hygienic service. That means geometry optimized for drainage, cleanability, and audit traceability from the first drawing, not retrofitted at the finish line.
One workshop, thirty years.
Same Carson City facility, same engineering discipline, same craft. No outsourcing, no contract manufacturing, no overseas assembly. When a customer asks who built their valve, we can name the machinist.
Four proprietary technologies.
Real engineering IP · Tork-Tite® Feet, Valbow®, eMaxion™ actuator, and the Integral Sealing Ridge. Each solves a specific failure mode that broad-line competitors have not. The patents aren't marketing · they're on file.
Stainless half of a full-spectrum platform.
Aquasyn (stainless, multi-use) plus Alphinity (single-use, next-gen) equals one vendor across the entire bioprocessing spectrum. From new builds to retrofits to hybrid facilities · one relationship, one specification path.
American craft, documented to spec.
Material Test Reports on every heat. Weld logs, profilometer readings, ASME BPE-compliant chemistry. The documentation procurement engineers actually need for validation · not a summary sheet, the full pack.
One family. Two engineering voices.
In 2026 Aquasyn joins the Alphinity family. Internally, engineering and operations align. Externally, both brands keep their distinct voices, and their distinct customer promises.
Together, three decades of hygienic manufacturing meet a forward bioprocessing platform for fragile modalities, intensified processing, and scale-up.
Engineering heritage.
The 30-year hygienic standard. Diaphragm, pinch, sampling, and stainless fabrication. Purpose-built, bar-stock, US-made.
Forward bioprocessing.
Engineered technologies for fragile modalities, intensified processing, and scale-up. Pixer®, VannX™, TFFi™, and beyond.
